SXSW
Today we got the e-mail that changed everything. We are extremely excited to announce that SXSW just announced to us, via our e-mail, that our friend Bruce Springsteen has been accepted to showcase at this year’s festival. We are honored to sacrifice our spot at this time-honored event to a little-known songwriter who we hope will finally find the audience he deserves. For years, SXSW has presented an unprecedented opportunity for up-and-coming acts like Bruce’s to break out of niche scenes and gain the recognition that their talent warrants, catapulting them over the heads of the old guard of industry executives that stand at the gates of stardom. We apologize to our legion of fans for so abruptly announcing our inability to participate, but we wish again to congratulate Bruce, who could really use the support.
