Post reblogged from Bent Shapes
Tonight will be our first show as Bent Shapes and we’re psyched to be playing with our good friends Shepherdess and stellar San Franciscans Grass Widow at Great Scott. This event was lovingly crafted by those top of the popscorn shramps at Bodies of Water Arts and Crafts - thanks dudes! You can read about how it’s gonna go down here.
We will be hawking our new flexis, too (mail order available soon)!

Our last release, Cull Shorts, is now available via mail order from Cake Time Records. This CD collects most of what we released over the past couple years on cassette, vinyl 7”, and in digital single form, with a previously unreleased version of “Slugger” added.
How to get all our recordings real cheap:
1. Buy Cull Shorts for $5 through our Bandcamp page. You get the CD in the mail, plus an immediate digital download in your choice of format.
2. Download the cassette version of “Slugger” and “Good To Be True” for free (they’re the only two not on Cull Shorts).
If you want, you can also still find some mp3s on blogs for free, or you can download just the songs you want for $1 apiece from the Bandcamp page repping each individual EP or single.
Thanks!

Final reminder! We added a second guitarist and became Bent Shapes. Head over to the new website to check out some songs and see the same pictures I am about to post of our new 7” flexi demo on Cake Time Records (available at our first show as Bent Shapes, with Shepherdess and Grass Widow next Wednesday at Great Scott). Limited edition, bright blue on translucent red, in polybags, and very hard to photograph.

We are re-entering the nascent digital age later this month with CULL SHORTS, a COMPACT DISC collecting all our cassette/7” releases since 2009, plus a couple unreleased songs. It’ll be available at our upcoming shows for $5, or you can download it for free off LimeWire drinking a Surge.

Speaking of upcoming shows, you can find us at What We Talk About in Allston with Mannequin Pussy (NYC), Lolita Black (RI), and Dream Warrior on April 28th, and at the Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn with Wild Yaks, Raccoon Fighter, and The Toothaches on Cinco de Mayo.

You can also watch this video of my kitten, Ramona, falling asleep in my hands.
See you soon,
Ben

FREE T-SHIRTS. Our friend Brian screenprinted a bunch of thrifted shirts for us awhile ago, and we’re clearing out what’s left of them to make room in the space. If you want one for free (+ shipping, if you don’t mind), e-mail us. You can also pick one up at a show. Just a few sizes/colors/styles left.
